Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SpecCraft (“we”, “us”) collects when you use speccraft.io, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This is a template and not legal advice — have it reviewed for your jurisdiction before relying on it.

Information we collect

  • Canvas content. The concepts, connections, names, and notes you create are stored on our servers so your canvases persist and can sync in real time.
  • Usage and device data. We use analytics to understand how the product is used (e.g. pages visited, approximate location, browser/device type).
  • Support conversations. If you use the in-app live chat, the messages you send are processed by our chat provider.
  • Your Anthropic API key. If you supply your own Anthropic API key, it is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and sent only with your own requests to power the AI features. We do not store your API key on our servers.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics, which may set cookies or similar technologies to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Depending on your region, we will request consent where required.

Third-party services

We rely on the following processors:

  • Google (Tag Manager / Analytics) — usage analytics.
  • Tawk.to — in-app live chat support.
  • Anthropic — when you use the AI agent, your prompts and relevant canvas context are sent to Anthropic’s API using your key.
  • Our hosting / infrastructure provider — to run the application and store canvas data.

How we use information

To provide and maintain the service, persist and sync your canvases, operate the AI features, respond to support requests, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep canvas data for as long as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Contact).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these, contact us using the details below.
